Happy New Year: A look back

Happy New Year all. I decided to take a break for looking for my lost cell phone (I think the snow ate it, really), to write a quick post looking back on the year that was and share some of my favorite photographic moments from 2008.

I'll start with my absolute favorite image of the year. I shot this with my dad two days before Thanksgiving while we were killing time in East Boston waiting for my sister's plane to land at Logan.

In September, shortly after the season ended I headed up to New Hampshire to shoot Matt and Amanda's wedding with Gwyn. This image was made during the last dance of the night, if I remember correctly. It rained sideways the entire weekend, but they didn't let it get in the way of their rockin' wedding.

September was a busy month, as Shyla and I spent some time with Dreena downtown, leading to one of my all time favorite photos.

Getting in the way-back machine takes us to February and Frank Sinatra, er my cousin Alec's Bar Mitzvah. Talk about owning the scene! I didn't pose him for this photo, I just told him to, "Stand by the sign," he did the rest.

Well I'm off to watch football, but stay tuned for '09, I've got some big things coming down the pipe, including my first ever workshop and a feature in a national magazine, but you'll just have to check back for more news on that.
