Eastern Market: Washington D.C.

Spent the weekend in Annapolis, and took a short train ride into Washington for lunch with my sister. She was even nice enough to put up with my pointing my camera at her, well, a lot.

I think this first photo is proof that even little sisters can look like grownups, you know, once in a while.

Kate said she has the same, "closed eye smile as you do."

This is Adiante, a local furniture maker/woodworker we met while walking around Eastern Market. He makes handmade tables, chairs and well, pretty much anything you can carve out of wood, very impressive, and he was kind enough to agree to a quick portrait.

After we left the market, we walked ran into Steven. Steven is homeless, and has lived in Washington his entire life. He asked me to take his photo in front of a mural of historical images while he played for us.

I am glad to see you rocking the fleece in the photo of you. Good times. I am digging the last shot. Great background/comp.
