CDIA

After Sunday's Get It Off! Shootshop at BU's Center for Digital Imaging Arts in Waltham, my friend Lara of The Studio Nouveau (who totally hooked us up, btw, thanks again!) asked me to come speak to her class about one of the only two things I know well enough to teach (and no, the infield fly rule was not on the calendar today).

So I threw a little flash education at them, Get It Off! style.

Here's a couple diagrams I shared today (click on them to see them larger).

Interested in future Get It Off! workshops? Click here to get on our mailing list - we're planning a much bigger (read, more out of control) workshop for the fall. More models, more flash, more well, everything.

That's all for now, back to planning more snowboard mayhem for this weekend. At last count we were heading up to Loon with two shooters, four cameras, ten strobes, eight pocketwizards, and a partridge in a pear tree. I may need a sherpa.

I really like seeing the lighting diagrams on the same slide as the actual photo. Cool stuff.

Oh, and check you out with the infield fly reference! It really IS almost Spring, huh Chief? HAHA. You like it.

On that note. Remember: "Players like rules. If they didn't have any rules, they wouldn't have anything to break."

I'm just surprised to see such blank white walls at the CDIA. That room is too sterile!
