Now as my friend Google Maps puts Acadia 310 miles from my house, this won't be just a single day shoot, like when Rob and I headed out to the Cape last winter.
I'm posting this now because what I'd like to do is recruit some people to make the trip with me. In these days of $4/gal. gas we'd be able to take one car and share a hotel room too (bonus points if you're beautiful, single and I haven't met you yet.) I'm kidding. Sorta. I will say that if you shoot Nikon I'm more than willing to share gear/lenses. And I do have a lot of toys.
Roughly the plan would be to head up on a Thursday in mid-Sept. and shoot sunrise and sunset Fri-Sunday and head back to the Boston area late Sunday evening.
So if you're game for some landscape shooting, want someone to bounce some ideas off of and don't mind 4 a.m. wakeup calls to shoot, drop me an e-mail or leave a comment here and we'll get to planning this trip. If this idea works, this could be the first of many douglaslevy photography photo weekends to come.
Never been to/heard of Acadia National Park? Check out these links for some great shots of the park and nearby Bar Harbor Maine.
This is my favorite potential locale, but click below for more as well.
