Today I guide you (yet another) photo blog. This one by commerical photographer Michael Sugrue. In this post from last month, Sugrue blogs about the unfortunate state of the industry today, as such that people expect, not ask for mind you, but expect images to be given away for free. That's right, I said given away, not licensed. The bottom line point he makes is that even if you are working for a non-profit or charitable organization, your photo business is not a charity nor a non-profit. Anyway, take a look.
For more on the business side of things, I refer you to Washington D.C. Photographer John Harrington's book, Best Business Practices for Photographers, and his blog.
